The Huffington Post, called Maori's Morning "awesome" today, giving it some nice attention along with some other popular sites like College Humor, and The Daily What. Urlesque posted it with some previous 'Little Aaron & Friends' shorts saying:
"Lil' Aaron and Friends' stop-motion shorts are criminally underviewed on YouTube, and we want to change all that. "

the last couple of months...
May and June were big months for Backwards. It screened in Spain, Germany, Croatia, Bosnia, Australia, all throughout Japan, Massachusetts and three times in New York.

On May 9th I was surprised and delighted to pick up the Best in Show award at ASIFA East in New York, a festival judged by a society fellow animation peers in the Eastern United States.

Then just before shoving off to Mexico I was notified that Backwards received the Best First Professional Film award at Animafest Zagreb (a fantastic animation festival which takes place every two years in Croatia). Pictured above are the other award-winning film-makers (sans myself. I was unfortunately unable to attend.)

Other highlights of May and June include screening at Stuttgart, winning the Judges Award at the Iron Mule Comedy Screening Series, conducting half a master class at Hamshire College, judging the animation and experimental film categories at the Brooklyn Film Festival and speaking at an animation panel at the Northside Festival in Brookyn. There I am sitting humbly on the floor.
